This week Show4me becomes a host to a Swiss symposium on film and media music SoundTrack_Zurich 2020. The event launches on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, and will last two days.

Organized by the Swiss Media Composers Association in collaboration with the Zurich Film Festival, SoundTrack_Cologne, Zurich University of the Arts and Forum Filmmusik, the event aims to showcase the work of Swiss film composers to the international audience. Composers both from Switzerland and abroad will be presented to the symposium audience over the course of two days.

The SoundTrack_Zurich programme is curated by Michael P. Aust, Director of SoundTrack_Cologne. SoundTrack_Zurich "opens up unique networking opportunities for the music industry and enables access to filmmakers in a way that no other European film music event has yet accomplished," says Aust.

The headliner of the event is American musician Ray Parker Jr., known for his theme song for Ghostbusters (1984). He will present the world premiere of a documentary about his career Who You Gonna Call.

Numerous workshops, roundtable discussions, lectures, and case studies will also be part of the event, tackling the of-the-moment issues of the Swiss film music scene.

SoundTrack_Zurich 2020 will start at 10 AM CET on September 30 and last until 5:30 PM CET October 1.
